Wenrui Zhao is a Chinese filmmaker based in New York and Beijing, specializing in directing, production sound recording, sound design, and re-recording mixing. He is a proud alumnus of NYU’s esteemed film program, having graduated in 2024.

Having started making films in middle school, Wenrui Zhao has spent over a decade honing his dual expertise in both directing and sound. His work is notable for seamlessly integrating a director's vision with an intricate understanding of sound, resulting in a harmonious blend of visual and auditory storytelling. He is a  creator of award-winning films, and his work has been recognized by international film festivals for both its directorial and sound design contributions.
